Welcome to the Mount Gambier
Community RSL Sub-Branch website.
The RSL as we know it was
founded in Melbourne in June 1916.
This Sub-Branch held its
inaugural meeting on the 19th July 1917.
The first sub-branch meeting
in Mount Gambier was officially held on the 17th November 1917 and the State
Office advised that our Charter would be granted on the 18th December
1917.
Following on that inaugural
meeting, our Annual Sub-branch dinner is always held as near to that mid July
date as possible. read
